Privacy policy

This policy covers the SetStreamer iPhone app and setstreamer.com. In short: we only keep what we need to run your streams, we never sell your data, and we don't record your streams.

The iPhone app

The app uses your camera, microphone or USB audio device only to send your picture and sound to the platforms you choose, and to make recordings when you press Record. Recordings are saved on your iPhone, in Photos or the Files app, and are not sent to us.

Stream keys you enter in the app are stored in your iPhone's Keychain. If you stream directly from your phone, your stream goes straight to the platforms you choose (for example Mixcloud or Facebook) and not through us.

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. We don't see your payment details. When you buy Pro Plus, the app sends us Apple's signed record of that purchase together with the email you enter, so we can create your SetStreamer Cloud account and email you your login details.

setstreamer.com and SetStreamer Cloud

If you create an account, we store:

• your email address and a securely hashed version of your password (we can't read your password);
• the server addresses and stream keys for the platforms you add, encrypted;
• your subscription level, and if you bought Pro Plus in the app, the App Store's ID for that subscription so we can keep your plan up to date when it renews or ends.

When you stream through SetStreamer Cloud, your stream passes through our servers so we can forward it to your platforms. We don't record or keep your stream. Our servers keep short technical logs (such as connection times and IP addresses) for up to 30 days to keep the service secure and working.

We use a single cookie to keep you logged in. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies.

Sharing

We send your stream to the platforms you switch on, using the keys you gave us. Their own privacy policies apply to what they do with it. We use a hosting provider to run our servers. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.

Your choices

You can change or remove your platform keys at any time in your dashboard. You can delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete my SetStreamer account) or on the website's Account page. This removes everything we hold about you straight away, apart from short technical logs, which are deleted within 30 days. Deleting your account doesn't cancel an App Store subscription; cancel that in your iPhone's Settings.
